Time tic… toc… tic… toc… tic… tic… tic…

April 20, 2008 at 1:49 am (Travel) (, , , , , , , , )

Salt Lake City, Utah

Ok… here I am.. waiting… waiting for tomorrow to came.

I never understood the phrase “The wait is killing me” now I get it.

I am not excited anymore, I don’t think I am capable of being excited at this time… I waisted it off.

It’s like last year’s trip.

We went all over the Oregon and Calidornia coast hitting amazing cities like Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles… Undescriptible places like the Oregon forest, the ocean meeting the huge trees of the Redwoods…etc.

We had experiences we’ll never foget like being waken up by a sea lion, or hug a tree because it was really old and saw wonderful sunsets.

That trip was amazing, but that was the beginig… after California we were uncapable of being amazed anymore… and God didn’t bealive us so He put the grand Canyon in our way… (an overwelming giant canyon in the middle of a desert)

We thought it was cool, yeah… but nothing else…

We were like… ” We bealive we are here, in front of this undeniable amazing view and we were not impressed…

What is wrong with us!!!”

My camera is ready to shoot, my brain is ready to have fun, my adrenaline is ready to be waisted… but for now all I can do is… wait.

Disney Fiber

April 18, 2008 at 5:38 pm (Travel) (, , , , , , , )

I couldn’t sleep thinking of my trip to Disney World, so I put some family guy to distract me a little bit.

In this episode Stewie is mad a Peter so He takes him to (guess where) Disney World! (And the way Stewie reacts is the way I reacted when Paola told me I was going to Disney World)

//content.ytmnd.com/content/0/5/0/0504ccbe1e05a6a91b17ea3c06ff60e6.gif” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

I can’t think in anything else! It’s like I see Mickey everywhere…

I already packed my Disneyland T-shirt. Maybe I am exaggerating.

This morning I checked Dallas and Leana’s blog and guess where they are (were)…

Disneyland!

He says that he is taking his kids there, but he has more fun that anyone there. (And they go there like 4 times a year!)

The boys after finding out that they would be going to Disneyland yet once again.

Dallas is going to Argentina in a week!

Fungus Psilocybin (Magic Shrooms)

April 17, 2008 at 4:26 pm (Activities, Food) (, , )

I came home one day and ate some left over of the remaining ‘Chow Mein’ that were in the kitchen. My roommate (the junkie) got mad at me for eating his food but he started laughing.

He explained that he put Mushrooms in the food. I didn’t understand but still I started to freak out!

After a while I thought that I was immune to that kind of stuff because nothing was happening but just in case I decided to get out of the house.

Jon took me to my friends Paola’s apartment (who was out of town) and kept me there for the rest of the night.

It was the most ‘interesting’ experience I ever had.

I got the burning sensation of my body, everything felt well and plus I saw colors and skeletons talking to me.

Definitely that was an experience I’ll never forget.

I told my mom. She told me that drugs are addictive, not because it feels bad, but the opposite. She told me that I have to be very careful now… (Scary!)

I told every body, and they just laugh at me. Some told me that they would pay to see me high.

Funy.

Vision

April 15, 2008 at 10:09 pm (Travel) (, , , , , )

Since I found out I am going to Disney World I can’t think in anything else. Going to Disney World is a dream I had since I was a kid…

I still can’t believe it… in fact, I wont believe it until I am there looking at the castle next to Mickey, Goofy (in Argentina we call him Tribilin) and Donald.

My friend,Troy ,showed me this picture with the quote from Walt Disney himself: VISION “It’s kind of fun to do the imposible.”

“Man or Woman?”*

April 13, 2008 at 1:22 am (Family, Inspiration) (, , , , )

My friend Miriam brought a topic that I would like to post about: Who gets better treatment from society men or women?

They tried to be nice saying that being a woman can be hard but “oh boy, guys have to do a lot of hard work…”

Well this is how I see it:

Being a woman seems tough. I mean… the entire pre-during-post pregnancy thing, and the sensitivity and insecurities and the need to prove the world that they are independent and self efficient…

All the yelling and the none-sense they can do are almost unbearable.

The ‘period’ and its reactions toward themselves and others!!!

The cheesiness and contradictions that they expect from everyone else is a nut case.

All the “society” standards of beauty that are dictated by magazines and TV Shows ran by other women that tells the rest female world what is cool and what is not these days…

All the required makeup, hair salon hours, nail polishing, skin care, painful hair removal and of course: expensive shoes and purses. (Or clothing in general)

And don’t even get me started with the personal products they use (or suppose to use) for their personal hygiene.

Not just singles… oh no, that would be too simple… married women are worse in keeping trying to look stunning…

For those who do not look great is because they have better things to do, like take care of the babies, or the house, or their husband, or what ever.

For some women though, that is too much work already, so they hire another woman (from another race or country) to clean the house, cook and/or take care of the baby (ies).

Women seem to hate each other. They gossip about each other, they criticize, envy and judge each other. (But they love that, they enjoy being observed, judged and criticized… that’s why they do it, because they know the other girls love it too)

So there you go: being a woman suck.

Being a guy it’s much easier, no doubt about it.

Less clothing to choose from… but more women to choose from (There are 7 women for each man in this world)

We get better jobs, and better pays. And better offices and opportunities.

We don’t care… about caring…period. Maybe we do care about some stuff, but it is not ok to share… so we just don’t care. (Maybe we would care if someone tells us to care, because it would be ok to care so we would care)

We get to be presidents, governors, missionaries, mission presidents, bishops, leaders, bosses, and even prophets more often than women.

We do go to work, and it’s true, work can be hard… but is not really… you know why? Because we just don’t care.

You know what the hard part of being a man is? The woman. (Can’t live with them either with out’em)

*If you noticed sarcasm… you might be getting it… (or not… what ever)

Disney World Here We go!! ( Road Trip 2008 )

April 12, 2008 at 6:37 am (Travel) (, , , , , , , )

Well I am starting my road trip 2008, something I was looking forward to do since last summer. This time we are going to the north and part of the east coast of the US. (And some cities of Florida)

The adventure starts this Sunday -04.20.200-  when my friend Jon is picking me up to go to Las Vegas. From Las Vegas we are flying to Tampa, Florida… and Even tho Las Vegas and Tampa sound awesome.. the only thing I am excited about is to visit the only place I regret not have visited last summer: Disney World!!!

After Orlando we’ll go back to Salt Lake City.

(Diarios de una camioneta 2)

May 2nd 2008- is scheduled to start officially our road trip on a truck… We are going to head up north to Yellowstone (Wyoming) and find out if it is actually yellow. Then to Mount Rushmore (South Dakota) See the faces and all.

We are thinking to Visit Miniampolis, The Michigan Lake, and Chicago, Illinois (which is my first big stop) There Jon gets out and Patrick gets in (Yes, the original Patrick of the road trip 2007)

We are going to Detroit, Michigan (the second big stop) There I’ll visit some friends (The Ls) and head up to Niagara Falls, New York; and show off that I saw something better (Iguazu Falls)

After this it gets confusing because I am not sure where I am going to go, but the plan is to get to know Boston, Massachusetts; New York, New York; and Washington, DC…

Here we go, take a seat and I hope you enjoy… I know I will.

Disney World

Aparently there is a whole cult about visiting Walt Disney’s World.

Disney World (1971- ) is the most visited place in America. It is a huge park in the middle of Florida, twice the size of Manhattan, making it the largest man-made playground in the world.

It gets four times more visitors than Florence, Italy.

It is run by Disney, the American film company that gave the world Mickey Mouse.

It is like their Disneyland in California, but it is newer and far larger.

The lessons learned in building Disneyland were applied to Disney World.

Disney World has four parks:

1971: Magic Kingdom (Which we plan to visit)

1982: Epcot Center

1989: Disney MGM Studio

1998: Animal Kingdom (Also in the top of our list)

I am so excited… 7 days from today… AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH

Forgot, after Orlando we might take a quick visit to SoBe (Miami Beach)

Congratulations LDS Business College’s graduates 2008!

April 11, 2008 at 1:42 am (Inspiration, School) (, , , )

Salt Lake City, Utah

Today was the LDS Business College.

Supposedly it is (or it was) my graduation but my advisor told me that I wasn’t allow to walk because I owed money to the school.

(I thought it was weird that they wouldn’t let me walk since walking doesn’t really have to do anything with the actual graduation)

As part of my job, they asked me to announce that there were people translating into Spanish for those parents who didn’t speak English.

30 minutes before the event I stood up in the pulpit (in front of everybody) every 5 minutes and said “Para todos los que quieran escuchar el evento en español tenemos disponibles audífonos de traducción”

An old lady asked my boss what I was saying; she explained that I was announcing that we had head phones for those who needed to hear the event in Spanish.

Oh that’s nice, she said but… why doesn’t he say that in English so we all can understand

Mi boss looked at her as if she was kidding and replied with a sarcastic tone “I guess is because the head phones are for those who don’t understand… English”

The old lady looked at her very serious, like knowing that she just have been mocked, and said: “It makes sense”

Thunder Stolen

It was cool to see all my friends dressed up into the graduation outfit. I didn’t think it would affect me that much, but I wanted to walk too, it too was MY day.

When the it was all over I went to the office where my adviser tells me “Oh, by the way, you could have walked today… I found out that you could… sorry”

I felt so disappointed and sad! I couldn’t stand being in the office anymore so I took one of those graduation outfit and went downstairs to take pictures with my friends… but everyone was gone already.

I felt that my moment, my experience, a memory was taken away from me. (Unintentionally)

None the less, I’m graduating!!! YAY!… Good for me, congratulations to me!

Nope… It’s not the same…Oh well

Samantha Who?

April 9, 2008 at 3:29 am (TV, TV Shows) (, , , , )

My friend Miriam posted no so long ago about her obsession for the sitcom “Pushing Daisies” “Ugly Betty” and “Arrested and development”

I don’t know if I like those shows that much (Not at all) (maybe Ugly Betty a little because it is a remake of a Colombian TV show “Betty la fea”)

Even though Miriam and I think a like in most issues, TV is not one of them (I think)

TV shows

From old TV shows Friends is in the top like top top… I don’t think I like anything else from the old times.

The new TV shows I think is worth to watch are “Scrubs”, “Heroes”, and “Lost”. But the new revelation of sitcoms is: “Samantha Who?”

Clever and funny. But very… very funny.

Samantha Who? is a comedy series stared (and produced) by Christina Applegate (who was Rachel’s sister in Friends)

The show is about Samantha Newly, a 30-year-old vice president of a real estate company who gets hit by a car and falls into a coma.

For eight days she is asleep, but upon waking, she finds she has retrograde amnesia; she has retained all general knowledge but hasn’t a clue as to who she is or what she’s done with her life.

Soon, Sam finds out she’s been very, very cruel to those around her. Taking her amnesia as a sign that it’s time for change, Sam sets about making up for what the old, evil Sam did, and tries to change her life and herself for the better.

I love TV.
