28 Años (The Capitol Party)

March 10, 2008 at 9:24 pm (Hernan) (, , , , , , )

Many thougth it was a joke, but sure enough the passed saturday (March 8th) all the believers and the ones who weren’t afraid of dressing up (or were in Utah) said present to my 28th birthday party.

Trying to find a parking spot in the capitol building was almost imposible.

Almost 60 people showed up for my birthday, one told me that she coudn’t came because she wanted to go to this other party

And it turned out that this “another party” was the same party (at the capitol). That was funny.

1500 people came for the U of U Institute Dance.

We danced all night… and when it was over we danced some more!

It was really fun to see everybody dressed up.

March 8, 2008… 8:00 Am

March 8, 2008 at 6:01 pm (Family, Hernan) (, , , , , )

Today is my birthday! Today I am officially 28… I know I’m not old, but being in Utah it’s kind of hard not to feel that I am.

I kind of enjoy being 28 and single. I have a whole life and a whole world in front of me. In the other hand, I think that I don’t want to be too old when my kids are 8. (Something to think about)

Tonight at 8 is my Birthday party at the Capitol Building of Salt lake City.

Institute of Religion of the University of Utah is sponsoring a formal Dance there. It was free so I thought… “Excellent location and timing, and it’s is free… just perfect! And I don’t have to do anything besides invite everybody to this dance”

A lot of people told me that they were coming, but we would have to wait and see.

Happy birthday to me!!!

Birthdays

February 25, 2008 at 8:10 am (Argentina, Family) ()

Last week was a week of birthdays. Birthdays are a celebration of life. We humans celebrate that we are “growing up” or, in other words: “GETTING OLD”

Even though some times I forget my friends and relatives (And even my own) birthdays! I consider a little ‘offend-able” if they forget mine. (Weird)

Growing up can be a fun experience, but is not. Time goes too fast and all the plans that you had have to be forgotten because for most of them you are too grown up to do it.

That’s why I like to be with friends and relatives on that day, because with their presence (or message) they say “We are there”

(Than can make all the difference)

Last Thursday was my mom’s birthday (60) and despite the hassled that means to call to Argentina on a busy day at work and school, it was very important to me to call her and remind her that “I am there”

Mindy’s B-day was Saturday and in that case I was literally there.
